FS98 Otto B-Typ Doppeldecker.
Pre-WWI reconnaissance and trainer pusher biplane, built by Gustav Otto Flugmaschinenwerke in 1913, developed from the previous 1913 Militärtyp and B.M.A. versions. This model had a triangular strutted fuselage, Gitterrumpf, and a "T" tail. It was powered by a 4-cyl 100 hp AGO, Aviatiker Gustav Otto, engine of their own construction, although similar 6-cyl Argus AS.I and Mercedes D.I engines were also used. Top speed was over 100 kph. About 150 Otto "B" types were built from 1912 to 1915. The airplane was sturdy, stable, reliable, easy to fly, and saw service early in WWI.

FS98 Otto 1913 Militaertyp Doppeldecker.
Pre-WWI reconnaissance and training pusher-biplane built by Gustav Otto Flugmaschinenwerke in 1913. Modifications to a 1911 Henry Farman racing biplane gave rise to the initial Otto military B.M. types, from which this version was developed. It had a boat-shaped nacelle for pilot and observer, a rectangular strutted fuselage, Gitterrumpf, with three rudders and two tail-skids, and twin wheels on each landing-gear skid. It was powered by a 6-cyl 100 hp Argus AS.I engine, and top speed was over 100 kph. Forty units were ordered by the Königliche Bayrische Fliegertruppe based in Oberschleissheim near Munich, and used mainly as trainers. Currently, the Werftverein in Oberschleissheim are building a full-size replica of this historical biplane. A total of about 150 Otto "B" types were built from 1912 to 1915. The airplane was sturdy, stable, reliable, easy to fly, and saw service early in WWI.

FS98 Otto B.I Doppeldecker.
Pre-WWI reconnaissance and trainer pusher biplane. It was the most advanced version of the "B" Type military biplanes built by Gustav Otto Flugmaschinenwerke in 1914, incorporating several aerodynamic improvements. This model had lateral engine radiators, "V"-shaped landing-gear struts without skids, and an in-fuselage fuel tank. It was powered by a 6-cyl Argus AS.I or Mercedes D.I engine. Top speed increased to 110 kph. About 150 Otto "B" types were built from 1912 to 1915. The airplane was sturdy, stable, reliable, easy to fly, and saw service early in WWI.
