FS98 Zivko Edge-540, N540KC. In addition to the advanced EDGE wing, the E-540 aircraft utilizes a computer optimized steel tube fuselage with a number of unique features. This results in a stronger, lighter fuselage that is designed to take over 15 G's of sustained loading. The E-540 aircraft has the highest aerobatic thrust to weight ratio of any competition aerobatic aircraft currently available. This is ´97 World aerobatic champion, Kirby Chambliss' personal Edge. FS98 Douglas TBD-1 Devastator. Douglas TBD-1 Devastator with moving parts. This TBD-Devastator of VT-5, Section 3 carries a twenty inch wide fuselage band indicating it was flown by the Section Leader. The VT-5 was assigned to the USS Yorktown, CV-5. The Devastator was replaced by the Avenger after the Battle of Midway.
