FS2004 Fort Louvois or Fort Chapus.
Positionnement : 45°51'34"N 1°10'15"W. Built in 1691 pennies the reign of Louis XIV, between the island of Oléron and the continent, Strong Chapus, or Strong Louvois, protected the southern access from the port of well preserved Rochefort. Preserved remarkably well, this building shelters a model of the basin of Marenne oyster as well as a museum of ostreiculture. In the enclosure of the fort, various permanent exposures are held fortifications of the littoral, models, engines old, paintings, craft industry. Strong Louvois, located at Bourcefranc it Chapus is surrounded by water with high tide and is connected to the ground by a roadway submarine of 450 meters.

FS2004 Wormingford, Station 159.
The departure of 362nd Fighter Group from Wormingford heralded the arrival of the US 8th Air Force, The 55th Fighter Group with three fighter squadrons, 38th, 338th and 343rd. The group, equipped with P-38 Lockheed Lightnings, moved in on 16th April 1944. The 55th Fighter Group achieved the distinction of having the first American fighter squadrons in the skies of Berlin. The 55th FG patrolled the English Channel during the Normandy invasion. From 5th to 11th June 1944 the Group flew three missions a day, dawn to dusk. A total flying time of ten and a half hours. In July 1944 they converted to P-51 Mustangs, a much more nimble machine with a much greater endurance, and capable of escorting the bombing missions to and from their furthest targets.

1915 the Royal Naval Air Service sought to establish a single unit at which officers and ratings could be trained to fly aeroplanes, observer kite balloons and airships. Tradition has it that a young Naval pilot was briefed to fly around until he found a piece of land that was both large enough and flat enough for the purpose. It is said that he flew over Cranwell and thought it quite admirable.

FS2004 U-Taphao International Airport VTBU.
U-Taphao International Airport was originally built for supporting the huge military operation in the Vietnam era, the same way was many airbases along Thailand's Northeastern boarder. Until now, the airport is gradually balance between the military operation Royal Thai Navy Aviation, air lift, joint training program sucj as Cobra Gold, and the civilian operation part of the airport was leased to Thai Airways International for large scale aircraft maintenance facilities. There are also schduled flights opeated by Bangkok Airways. In the old days, we could easily saw B-52 and those huge aircraft flying in and out for tactical missions in Vietnam and Laos. Now we can still see C-17, C-130, Antonov, and various types of very interesting military jets during the practice sessions. U-Taphao may considered one of the most active airport/airbase in Thailand.

FS2004 Bassingbourn, Station 121.
This base, located in Cambridgeshire 3.5 miles north west of Royston, was transferred to the 8th U.S.A.A.F. Command in october 1942. The 91st B.G. stayed here until june 1945. 'The Ragged Irregulars' commanded by Colonel Stanley Wray moved here from Kimbolton. This was the base of the B-17 'Memphis Belle'. The 91st B.G. flew 340 missions, losing 197 B-17s.
