FS2004 CNP7, Iroquois Airfield, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Revised Version. Iroquois is 37 miles south of Ottawa International and 25 miles east of Brockville, and extremely close to the St. Lawrence River. This revised version has a grass surface that accepts snow and looks more realistic then before, and there are NEW scenery bgl's, a NEW GRASS landclass file, an EZlandclass file, a NEW AFCAD file, and a sound file. Iroquois has just one runway of 2,000' but two surfaces, a 23' centre asphalt strip set into a grass width of 75'. There are a variety of facilities here, with some hangers at one end close to the boathouses and with limited hard standing parking, grass parking to the north of the runway at the camping site, and a large but generally unused asphalt apron at the other end of the strip next to the floatplane moorings. There is no fuel available. The hangers are the right size, shape, and colour and in the right position though not specifically modelled for this field. There are AI parking spaces just as there are for real, give or take a pace or two. And the nearby locks and the dock with closed boat storage are also included, indeed the dock is a part of the airfield and under the same ownership. |

FS2004 CPL3, Rideau Valley Air Park/Kars, New Version. Rideau Valley Air Park, close to the small town of Kars, is in Ontario a few miles southwest of ottawa, in a bend of the Rideau River. It is a real airfield that doesn't appear in FS. It used to be mainly used for gliders and with some hangers for their storage, but it appears to be gaining in popularity with general aviation. This only works with Ultimate Terrain as the Rideau River won't be in the right place without it. |
