FS2004 KDAB, aytona Beach International Airport. Adds airport hangers and buildings for the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University flightline, a Jet Center, and small aircraft storage to Daytona Beach International Airport Also adds Daytona International Speedway adjacent to the airport, since an approach to the airport without it is unrealistic. Includes an AFCAD file with added taxiways and revised ramp areas essential for the scenery. This scenery is in accordance with the current Google Earth images. However, the largest Embry Riddle hanger was destroyed the end of last year by a tornado and no longer exists pending construction of an entirely new flightline facility. The scenery placement coordinates with Ultimate Terrain USA. Scenery for the speedway works best with summer textures since FS9 fall and winter textures are too harsh for the area. |

FS2004 Richmond Heights Naval Air Station. The Navy purchased 2,107 acres at Richmond Heights, Florida in 1941 to construct a blimp base to provide protection for Florida area shipping from German submarines. The base was commissioned in 1942, and was at the time one of the largest construction projects to ever have been undertaken in Dade County. According to a brochure from the Gold Coast Railroad Museum, courtesy of Richard Ochampaugh, "The first airship, K-46, occupied Hangar #1 on 6/9/43. Hangars #2 & #3 were completed & in use shortly thereafter". In 1943, one of Richmond's blimps detected a sub via radar. It made a depth charge run on the sub, but was hit by anti-aircraft gunfire, and crashed into the sea. This was the only blimp lost to enemy action in US waters during the war. At its wartime peak, Richmond was home to 25 K-series blimps, a 2,000' diameter landing mat, eight circular concrete mooring pads, 2 runways, 3 huge blimp hangars, a helium plant, and 3,000 men. The station eventually became the largest blimp base on the east coast. |

FS2004 Glynco Naval Air Station. Construction on Naval Air Station Glynco was begun in late 1942 and the base was initially completed by 1943 with two 960' long wooden blimp hangars, two mooring circles, an operational complement of 12 blimps, and a helium plant. The number of circular blimp mooring pads was eventually expanded to 8 including two remote sites. The base served as an important training and anti-submarine base throughout the war. In 1945 the station was reduced to an air facility, and it became a storage & salvage yard for some 800 Navy aircraft. |

FS2004 Santa Ana Naval Air Station. This field was originally built as a blimp base in 1942 as Santa Ana Naval Air Station. The predominant characteristic of this field is the image of its two huge blimp hangars, which are the largest wooden structures in the world today. The hangars are each more than 1,000 feet long & 300 feet wide. Each hangar was designed to hold six blimps simultaneously. In between the two hangars is a huge concrete circular blimp mooring pad. Extending outward from the central pad are concrete taxiways leading to numerous smaller concrete circular blimp mooring pads. |

FS2004 WBGT/WBTM, Long Banga, Tanjung Manis, Malaysia. Scenery for WBGT Long Banga, Tanjung Manis, sometimes also referred to under the ICAO code WBTM - a small domestic airport in Malaysia that it seems Microsoft forgot to provide in in Flight Simulator 2004. These scenery files create the airport and add taxiways, aprons, buildings and other airport features, so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner. Also added is the missing TMS non-directional beacon at this airport, on frequency 264.0. |
