Four-engined flying boat used 1968 by Antilles Air Boats in Virgin Islands. AAB owned by Charles Blair, who piloted VS-44 during WWII. After his death in 1978 his wife, actress Maureen O'Hara, became President and CEO of the airline. Blue-white-red civilian paint scheme used by AAB. Also includes blue-white scheme used by Avalon Air Transport 1957-1967 in S. California shuttle service. Visual model upgraded to FSDS 3.5.1 from 2005 version. Higher-resolution gauges included. Flight dynamics modifications by Brian Horsey. A flying boat, not an amphibian. Beaching gear provided. Can be taxied in and out of water. |
