The aircraft is constructed with as few polygons as possible and with a single texture file to ensure the absolute minimum impact on your framerates. It is designed specifically to enhance the AI aircraft population . It is also quite fun to fly as a normal aircraft.

FS2004/FSX Yak-9U Fighter. The Yak-9U was the second generation of Yak-9s. It introduced a redesigned airframe , a new wing of increased span and area, and the more powerful VK-107 engine with 1,230 kW, 1,650 hp. The top speed of 700 km/h, 435 mph, at 5,600 m, 18,370 ft, was faster than any production fighter aircraft in the world at that time. The Yak-9UV and Yak-9P were postwar versions. They took part in the Korean War.Production of the Yak-9 ended in 1946 after a record 16,769 aircraft had been delivered.
