PICTURE GALERY
The L-59
advanced trainer/light attack aircraft featured a new
more powerful DV-2 turbofan engine, strengthened
airframe, improved escape system, new flight control
system with hydraulic actuators, and state-of-the-art
avionics including cockpit displays.
The first prototype flew on September 30, 1986. L-59
aircraft are operated by the Czech, Slovak, Egyptian and
Tunisian Air Forces. Four underwing pylons and a fix
underfuselage gun pod belong to the standard equipment.
