The L-39 Albatros, first flown in 1968, is tandem-seat aircraft for basic and advanced pilot training, suitable also for tactical attack missions. L-39 versions:

  • L-39C - training version with 2 hardpoints under the wing;

  • L-39V - single-seater for target towing;

  • L-39ZO - improved version with 4 hardpoints;

  • L-39ZA - training/attack version with 4 underwing hardpoints and a removable gun pod under the fuselage. In latest configuration the L-39 is equipped with modern avionics, including HUD.
